Wagering requirements decide whether a bonus is genuinely useful or just a number on a banner. The good news for UK players is that every Mythoswin bonus with wagering is capped at 10x, in line with UK rules. This guide explains exactly how Mythoswin wagering works, with worked examples you can check against your own balance.

What 10x wagering means at Mythoswin

A wagering requirement is the total amount you must bet before bonus funds turn into withdrawable cash. Mythoswin calculates it on the bonus amount only, not the deposit plus bonus. So a £50 bonus needs £500 of qualifying bets; a £200 bonus needs £2,000.

Wagering is about turnover, not losses. If you spin £1 a hundred times, you have wagered £100 regardless of whether you won or lost along the way. Winnings go back into the balance and can be re-staked, which is how most players work through a requirement.

Worked examples for the Mythoswin bonus

The casino welcome offer is 100% up to £500 + 150 Free Spins, with a £20 minimum deposit.

DepositBonusStarting balanceWagering (10x bonus)
£20£20£40£200
£50£50£100£500
£100£100£200£1,000
£250£250£500£2,500
£500£500 (cap)£1,000£5,000
£700£500 (cap)£1,200£5,000

The last row matters: depositing more than £500 does not increase the bonus, so the extra £200 is simply cash. The same 10x rule applies to the Hermes Wallet Boost (25% up to £100 on Tuesdays) — a £400 e-wallet deposit earns the full £100 boost and £1,000 of wagering, to be finished within 7 days. Full details of each offer are on the Mythoswin promotions page.

Game contribution rates

Not every bet counts in full. Mythoswin weights games by contribution:

Game typeContribution£10 bet counts as
Slots100%£10
Live casino & table games10%£1
Game shows10%£1

Clearing £1,000 of wagering takes £1,000 of slot spins but £10,000 of live blackjack — which is why the slots lobby is the practical route. If you mostly play at the live casino, the sportsbook welcome or VIP cashback may suit you better than a match bonus.

Check RTP before you grind

The average slot RTP across the Mythoswin lobby is 96.4%. Each game’s info panel shows its own figure — choosing titles at or above that average gives your balance a better chance of lasting through the wagering.

Maximum stake and time limits

While a bonus is active, the maximum stake is £5 per spin, or £2 per spin if you are aged 18–24. These match the UK’s online slot stake limits, so the cap is not a trap — it is the law. Bets above the limit with an active bonus can lead to the bonus being removed.

Time limits differ by offer:

OfferTime to complete wagering
Casino welcome bonus30 days
Hermes Wallet Boost7 days
Welcome Free Spins (per batch)Spins expire 24 hours after crediting
Olympus Spin FridaysSpins valid 3 days; winnings 10x

If the clock runs out, the remaining bonus balance and any winnings tied to it are removed.

Cash balance vs bonus balance

Mythoswin keeps your cash and bonus funds in separate balances and always uses cash first. In practice:

  1. You deposit £100 and receive a £100 bonus.
  2. Your first £100 of bets come from cash. Anything you win while on cash stays as cash.
  3. Once the cash is used up, you play on the bonus balance.
  4. When the 10x requirement is met, the remaining bonus funds convert to cash.

Because cash is played first, you can withdraw cash winnings at any point. Doing so before wagering is finished forfeits the bonus — but not your cash or the winnings from cash stakes.

Free-spin winnings

Free spins carry their own rules. The 150 welcome spins on Book of Ra Deluxe arrive as 50 per day for 3 days at 10p each, and each batch expires 24 hours after it is credited. Winnings from those spins are credited as bonus funds with 10x wagering. For example, if a day’s 50 spins return £12, you need to wager £120 to convert that £12 into cash. Spin Fridays work the same way on Sunken Riches, with the spins valid for 3 days.

What can void a bonus

Avoid these mistakes

Most lost bonuses come down to a handful of avoidable rule breaks — read them before you opt in.

  • Betting above £5 per spin (or £2 if aged 18–24) while the bonus is active.
  • Missing the time limit — 30 days for the welcome bonus, 7 days for the Hermes Wallet Boost.
  • Claiming more than one welcome offer per person, household, device or payment method.
  • Opening a second account, which also breaches Mythoswin’s one-account-per-person rule and can lead to account restrictions.
  • Requesting a withdrawal before wagering is complete, which forfeits the bonus.
  • Forgetting to opt in before the first deposit.

Paid entry into slot bonus rounds is banned for GB players and is not offered, so every feature you trigger comes from normal spins.

Sportsbook free bet rules

The Mythoswin sportsbook welcome — Bet £10, Get £30 in Free Bets — has no wagering multiple, but it does have conditions:

  1. Your qualifying bet must be £10 or more at odds of 1/2 (1.50) or bigger.
  2. It must be settled within 14 days of signing up.
  3. Three £10 free bets arrive within 24 hours of settlement.
  4. Each free bet expires after 7 days, and the free-bet stake is not returned — only the winnings.

So a £10 free bet at 2/1 that wins returns £20, not £30. Remember you choose either this or the casino bonus at sign-up, not both. More on markets and odds formats is in our sportsbook guide.

Questions about this topic

How much do I need to wager on a £100 Mythoswin bonus?

+

Mythoswin applies 10x wagering to the bonus amount only, not to your deposit. If you deposit £100 and receive a £100 bonus, you need to place £1,000 of qualifying bets (10 × £100) within 30 days. On slots, which contribute 100%, that means £1,000 in total spins.

Do live casino games count towards wagering?

+

Yes, but only partly. Live casino and table games contribute 10%, and game shows also contribute 10%. A £10 bet on live blackjack therefore counts as £1 towards your requirement. Slots contribute 100%, which is why most players clear wagering on slots.

What happens if I withdraw before finishing wagering?

+

Withdrawing before the wagering is complete forfeits the bonus and any winnings still tied to it. It does not take away your cash balance or winnings you made from cash stakes, because Mythoswin keeps cash and bonus funds separate and uses your cash first.

What is the maximum bet while a bonus is active?

+

With an active Mythoswin bonus the maximum stake is £5 per spin, or £2 per spin if you are aged 18 to 24, matching the UK online slot stake limits. Placing bets above these limits while a bonus is active can lead to the bonus being removed.

Do sportsbook free bets have wagering?

+

The sportsbook welcome free bets do not use a wagering multiple. You receive 3 × £10 free bets within 24 hours of your qualifying bet settling. They expire after 7 days, and the free-bet stake is not returned with any winnings.
